Blue Andalusian's are one of the oldest Mediterranean Class of
Breeds and are considered Globally Endangered. This fowl
originated in Andalusia Spain and are known for their graceful,
stately carriage and delicately Blue Laced plumage.
The ideal feather color is Slate Blue with a narrow lacing of Dark
Blue.
The males have a cape of Blue-Black feathers with shading of
Dove Gray. Both the male and female have Leaden Blue legs and
toes, long deep bodies with an Upright, Alert Stance.
The standard weight of a male is 7 pounds and the standard
weight of a female is 5 pounds.
The hens are efficient layers of large white eggs, but are seldom
broody.
Your choice of all Blue chicks, or a combination of Black, Splash
and Blue Chicks.
If ordering Hatching Eggs you will receive eggs that will hatch
approximately 50% Blue, 25% Splash and 25% Black.
We suggest a feed ration of 20% protein, and a handful of Scratch
and Greens daily.

- The color Blue is a unique genetic feature as is the constant recurrence in the
offspring of not only blue chicks, but also black, (white, and black/white or
Splash chicks) All of these chicks will carry the blue genes and when mated
black on white or with other blues will produce many blue offspring. Unless
you specify all blue chicks you will receive 4 possible colors of chicks-Blue,
Black,( White, Black/White combination called Splash)
Your choice of all Blue chicks, or a combination of Black, Splash
and Blue Chicks.
